ECB official will lead global central bank focussing digital currencies unit

Outgoing European Central Bank (ECB) executive board member Benoit Coeure will lead the new unit at a global central bank focused on digital currencies. The new unit has been set up to understand the impact of financial technology on leading central banks in the world.
