IC Blockchain Courses
International Consortium for Blockchain (ICB) is a community-driven organization that consists of pioneers, experts, and trusted advisers. ICB is headquartered in the United States, and is not just another certification body. We are changing the way people approach and implement Blockchain. From the beginning, ICB’s mission has been to help organizations understand the power of Blockchain and its potential use-cases. We do this by providing learning journeys that equip people first with foundation knowledge on Cryptocurrency and Blockchain, then guide them along a path towards mastery in their chosen discipline, and eventually becoming an expert in their domain.
We are a certification and accreditation body, not a training company. We help organizations and training providers design learning experiences that cultivate Blockchain applications and use-cases. We do this by providing world-class learning tracks to guide organizations in the development of their curriculum. Our approach is not tied to any specific Blockchain platform, thus giving people the flexibility to implement any platform in a way that makes sense for their context and organization. In pursuit of our mission, ICB works with course providers to accredit new or existing courses against proven learning objectives. In turn, these courses can be offered to individuals and organizations for professional-level certifications.
In addition to accreditation and professional-level certifications, ICB offers a competency-based expert certification program, which is unique in the industry. The Certified Cryptocurrency and Blockchain Expert credentials are extremely prestigious and are only awarded to individuals who demonstrate competence in a given track via a rigorous review process in front of a panel of industry-recognized experts.
Blockchain technologies present opportunities for disruptive innovation. It enables global business transactions with less friction and more trust. Blockchain technology can reduce the time spent on financial disputes by 75%. Blockchains are secure by design and are an example of a distributed computing system with high Byzantine fault tolerance. Decentralized consensus has therefore been achieved with a blockchain. This makes blockchains potentially suitable for the recording of events, medical records and other records management activities, such as identity management, transaction processing, documenting provenance, or food traceability.
Blockchain will do the same to banking what the internet did to media seems to be the phrase this year. In fact, like the internet was the first native digital medium for information, blockchain is the first native digital medium for peer-to-peer value exchange. Therefore, blockchain it is set out to revolutionize numerous industries, including banking, cyber-security, commerce and much more.
Vitalik Buterin, the creator of cryptocurrency Ethereum, says that the technology is so convenient that it can be applied for years in future industries beyond our current imagination.
As of today, the cryptocurrency hype is real. There is an increasing number of new emerging startups based on blockchain driven solutions, that seek to improve the way variety of industries have been operating for decades.
